Yenepoya Scholarship Programme

Yenepoya Scholarship programme is an initiative of the Yenepoya Fundation and the Yenepoya Trust to help students pursue their higher education in the constituent colleges of the Yenepoya ( Deemed to be University). The quantum and amount of scholarship is decided by The Yenepoya Foundation, a unit of YMK Memorial Educational & Charitable Trust and the Yenepoya Trust. The amount of scholarship is subject to change every year and is published on the website of the University. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the candidate needs to apply for the scholarship in the prescribed format. Some of the criteria followed are as mentioned below:

The candidate will be eligible for concession only under one category. The categories cannot be combined to avail higher amount of scholarship.

The candidate should apply for the scholarship in the prescribed format. The scholarship will cover only the course/ tuition fee payable for the particular course of study.

The scholarship will NOT cover expenses to 3rd party service/ knowledge partners and this expense is to be borne by the candidate.

This scholarship will NOT cover the expenses such as hostel accommodation, books, examination fees, etc.

The scholarship for the subsequent years will be same as given at the time of admission in the first year. However, the continuation of scholarship for subsequent years will be based on:

Cleared the exam in first attempt.
Academic performance ( 70% to be maintained)
Attendance ( Minimum 75% )
Sports/ Extra Curricular activities ( For Sports Quota)
Conduct/ Character ( Clean Conduct certificate from the HOI)

The University reserves the right to prescribe the eligibility norms of academic performance for each course and may vary periodically.The approval of the scholarship awarded to each candidate happens through a scrutiny of the application and the supporting documents submitted. The short listed candidates under the Merit cum Means category are approved by the committee after perusing the survey report submitted by the Survey committee.

All the Scholarship schemes are governed by the policies and regulations of the University. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the University shall be final. The scholarship seats under each course are restricted to the numbers reserved under each category. This is decided by the University and is subject to change. The scholarship under the Sports quota is restricted to specific courses and is as decided by the University.
